AS Roma Advances to Europa League Semifinals with Thrilling Victory over Bayer Leverkusen

AS Roma has advanced to the semifinals of the Europa League after defeating Bayer Leverkusen 3-2 in a thrilling quarterfinal match. The Italian team got off to a strong start, with Lorenzo Pellegrini scoring in the 5th minute of the game. However, Leverkusen fought back, with goals from Patrik Schick and Moussa Diaby putting the German team ahead.

Roma didn't give up, though, and managed to equalize with a goal from Edin Dzeko in the 37th minute. The second half was a tense affair, with both teams creating chances but struggling to find the back of the net. Finally, in the 83rd minute, Roma's Amadou Diawara scored a penalty to give his team the lead and secure the victory.

The win puts Roma one step closer to the Europa League final, where they will face off against either Manchester United or Granada. It was a hard-fought victory for the Italian team, who will need to continue playing at their best if they hope to lift the trophy at the end of the tournament.
