Suns Take 3-2 Series Lead Over Nuggets in NBA Playoffs - Can Jokic and Co. Bounce Back?

The Phoenix Suns beat the Denver Nuggets 122-116 in Game 5 of their NBA Western Conference semifinal series, taking a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven matchup. Suns guard Devin Booker scored 30 points and dished out five assists, while teammate Deandre Ayton added 20 points and 10 rebounds. For the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic had a dominant performance with 43 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Suns' balanced attack.

The game was tightly contested throughout, with neither team able to build a significant lead. The Suns pulled away in the fourth quarter, thanks in part to a strong performance from their bench, which outscored the Nuggets' reserves 35-12. The win puts the Suns on the brink of their first conference finals appearance since 2010.

Jokic, who is widely expected to win this year's NBA MVP award, was visibly frustrated after the game, calling out the officiating and suggesting that he felt the Suns were getting favorable treatment. The Nuggets will need a win in Game 6 to keep their season alive, while the Suns will look to close out the series and advance to the conference finals.
